News A sunny central spot

Kongens Nytorv is the natural centre of inner Copenhagen where people meet and pass by on their way to Nyhavn for a drink or to Strøget on the opposite site to go shopping. The central spot is also the address of the European Environment Agency and the new workplace for Jacqueline McGlade who had her first day at work as the new executive director the 2nd of June. This sunny day was the perfect opportunity to assemble two strong enviro-women in Europe, the new director and the environmental mayor of Copenhagen, Winnie Berndtson. The occasion was the official opening of The European 2003 Poster Contest where this year fantastic entries are on display to the thousands of people crossing Kongens Nytorv during the summer months. If you're not in luck to visit the central part of Copenhagen you can see the online exhibition here. Both online and offline you can vote for your favourite poster and win 2 tickets with SAS Snowflake to a European city. Good luck and welcome to our exhibitions.
